Ideally situated in the heart of George, you’ll find a hidden gem called the Farm & Fellow. Surrounded by the Outeniqua Mountains and the Ocean just a few minutes away, this is the perfect get away.
Just down the road you’ll find Olympia Estate- a beautiful stable yard with lush grass paddocks, where the horses were being kept for the show that we had travelled up for. The horses were the reason for our get away!
Expect affordable accommodation in the quiet country side, paired with excellent and friendly service.
The farmhouse offers 13 luxury en-suite rooms and two retro renovated caravans, which are each uniquely decorated to make your stay a memorable experience.
Each morning you can expect a different breakfast. Each room is beautifully and originally decorated. The breakfast area is hidden under giant trees that make you feel like you’re in an enchanted forest.
The first morning was an early start as it was the first day of the show being held at Olympia Estate.
My friend Nikki and her horse Ugo were entered in the show jumping classes at the show. They cleared the course beautifully and received a 1st and 3rd place.
Olympia Estate makes you feel like you are at an international show, with its beautiful, well maintained show grounds.
The Cape Town riders could be spotted gawking at the lush, green grass. Cape Town’s drought had us all in paradise with all the deep green, especially for the horses.
The show was a huge success and flew by so quickly. Before we knew it we were on the route home with some memories to treasure forever.
