My journey into photography began with my deep love for animals. From a young age, I knew I wanted to work with them, trying various paths until I discovered my true passion — photography. It all started with horses. As an equine photographer, I found that my years of owning and working with horses gave me a unique perspective in capturing their grace and essence. This connection allowed me to develop a distinctive style that became recognized within the equine photography community.
Not wanting to limit myself to a specific niche, I expanded into pet photography. My understanding of animal behaviour has been invaluable in capturing the personality and charm of each pet, creating images that truly reflect their spirit. This part of my business has grown significantly, and I’m incredibly grateful for the support and friendships that have come from it.
But my journey didn’t stop there. Over time, I discovered a deep love for the broader creative and design industry, which naturally led me into lifestyle and branding photography. What started as curiosity quickly became one of the most fulfilling parts of my work. I fell in love with helping brands visually tell their story — creating intentional, authentic content that aligns with their vision and connects meaningfully with their audience. There is something incredibly powerful about helping a business show up confidently and cohesively, and I’m passionate about crafting imagery that not only looks beautiful but also supports growth.
Alongside branding, lifestyle photography has captured my heart in ways I never expected. I adore documenting real moments — families laughing together, couples celebrating milestones, friends soaking up golden hour, and individuals stepping into new seasons of life. My style leans into warmth, authenticity, and connection, focusing on images that feel natural and emotive rather than posed and forced.
Living in Cape Town has also opened another beautiful chapter in my journey. I have grown to absolutely love photographing tourists who are visiting this incredible city and wanting their holiday memories documented. There is something so special about capturing someone experiencing Cape Town’s magic for the first time — the mountains, the coastline, the sunsets, the joy. Being trusted to preserve those once-in-a-lifetime travel memories is an honour I never take lightly, and it’s become a part of my work that I truly treasure.
As my business has evolved, so have my skills. I’ve expanded into videography, offering short, engaging clips tailored specifically for social media. In today’s digital world, motion content is powerful, and I love creating cinematic snippets that complement my photography — giving brands, families, and travellers dynamic content they can share and relive over and over again.
