I’m Ashley, a professional photographer based in Cape Town, specializing in equine, family, pet, lifestyle, branding, milestone sessions, and capturing unforgettable travel memories. But more than titles and specialties, what truly defines my work is connection.

Because photography isn’t just about how something looks. It’s about how it felt.

One of the biggest fears I hear from clients is, “I’m so awkward in front of the camera.”

Here’s the truth: almost everyone feels that way at first.

Confidence in front of the camera isn’t something you have — it’s something we create together. My sessions are relaxed, playful, and natural. I use gentle prompts instead of stiff poses. I encourage movement instead of forcing stillness. I focus on connection instead of perfection.

If your toddlers would rather run through the grass than sit still — perfect.

If your partner says they “hate photos” — challenge accepted. If you feel a little nervous — that’s completely normal.

My job is to guide you every step of the way. I’ll tell you where to stand, how to move, when to laugh, and when to just soak it all in. I’ll hype you up, fix the small details, and make sure you feel comfortable and seen.

Editing is where so much of the magic continues. I pour time and care into colour grading, subtle adjustments, and creating that signature warmth my clients love — all while keeping you looking natural and true to yourself.

But beyond technical skill, I bring patience, energy, and calm presence. I know how to read the room — whether it’s a yard with a beloved horse, a chaotic-but-beautiful family session, or a branding shoot where you’re stepping into a new version of yourself.

One of my absolute favourite things to photograph is visitors experiencing the magic of Cape Town for the first time.

There is something incredibly special about capturing tourists soaking in our sunsets, standing in awe of the mountains, laughing along the coastline, or wandering through fields of flowers. Cape Town has this breath-taking way of making people feel alive — and documenting that joy is something I truly treasure.
