Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a matric dance shoot at the stunning Stonehurst Mountain Estate in Muizenberg. Nestled on the mountainside, this estate offers a breath-taking mix of natural beauty and elegant architecture. The golden afternoon light touched the rugged cliffs in the distance, and the peaceful stillness of the estate created the perfect canvas for the shoot.

The young man at the centre of the celebration looked sharp in a classic black suit, exuding quiet confidence and a touch of nerves – the kind that only comes with big moments. His partner arrived in a jaw-dropping red dress that turned heads and lit up the entire frame. The boldness of the colour, combined with the softness of her smile, created a gorgeous contrast that made every image pop with life and personality.

As we moved through the estate, we paused for candid moments between posed shots – laughs shared between the couple, quiet glances, proud hugs from family members.
